Emergency crews were unable to revive him.<\/p>\n<p>The man has not yet been formally identified. <\/p>\n<p>The mine is part of a joint venture between Glencore (LSE:GLEN) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.peabodyenergy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Peabody<\/a> Energy (NYSE:BTU).<\/p>\n<p>CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/mining.com.au\/company\/glencore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Glencore<\/a>\u2019s coal business in Australia Peter Sharpe gave condolences to the worker\u2019s family, friends, and colleagues, in a statement to the media.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is tragic news for our entire workforce.
