Azerbaijan and Switzerland have established a balanced investment partnership over the past three decades, Azerbaijan\u2019s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said on Tuesday. <\/p>\n
Bayramov made the remarks during a joint press conference with Ignazio Cassis, Federal Councillor and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland and OSCE Chairman-in-Office, AZERTAC<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n \u201cReviewing the outcomes of the last three decades, Switzerland\u2019s investments in Azerbaijan amount to $1.6 billion, while Azerbaijan\u2019s investments in Switzerland reach $2.3 billion. These indicators demonstrate that a well balanced approach has been formed in investment cooperation,\u201d Bayramov said.<\/p>\n The minister also highlighted the strong performance of bilateral trade, noting that trade relations between the two countries achieved positive results in 2025.<\/p>\n \u201cIn 2025, mutual trade was quite successful, with the total trade volume between the two countries reaching nearly $1.8 billion,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n Bayramov<\/a> added that 110 Swiss companies are registered in Azerbaijan, of which 87 are actively operating in sectors including industry, construction, agriculture, transport, trade, and other areas.<\/p>\n He further noted that both countries are currently working on several new bilateral documents and expressed confidence that additional agreements will be signed in the near future.<\/p>\n \u201cCurrently, work is underway on a number of new documents between the two countries. We believe that we will soon witness the signing of additional agreements,\u201d Bayramov emphasized.<\/p>\n
