LevelTen has facilitated more than 20 GW of clean energy transactions across over 35 markets in North America and Europe.<\/p>\n
ABB Electrification Ventures has now invested more than $110 million in 18 startups since 2021, while ABB Ventures has deployed over $500 million since 2010.<\/p>\n
ABB expands from electrification into energy procurement<\/p>\n
ABB is expanding its clean energy services through a strategic partnership and minority investment in LevelTen Energy, the US-based clean energy marketplace.<\/p>\n
The transaction gives ABB a stronger position in corporate renewable energy procurement. It will combine LevelTen\u2019s marketplace with ABB\u2019s electrification, digital and energy management capabilities.<\/p>\n
Financial terms were not disclosed.<\/p>\n
LevelTen has facilitated more than 20 GW of clean energy transactions across more than 35 markets in North America and Europe. Its users include hyperscalers, industrial companies, commercial buyers and utilities.<\/p>\n
For ABB, the partnership fills a gap between energy strategy and execution. Industrial customers can already use ABB technologies for electrification, energy management and emissions reduction. LevelTen adds access to power purchase agreements and other clean energy contracts.<\/p>\n

Corporate clean power procurement grows more complex<\/p>\n
The partnership comes as companies face tighter expectations around how renewable electricity claims are measured.<\/p>\n
Many businesses have already invested in onsite generation and energy efficiency. Larger emissions reductions often require clean electricity sourced through long-term contracts.<\/p>\n
Those contracts can expose buyers to pricing, location and project risks. They also require increasingly sophisticated data as companies move beyond annual renewable energy matching.<\/p>\n
Some buyers are now seeking closer alignment between when clean electricity is generated and when it is consumed. That shift increases demand for battery storage, microgrids and advanced energy management systems.<\/p>\n
ABB already operates across those areas. LevelTen adds clean energy contracting, environmental attribute certificate trading and portfolio management capabilities.<\/p>\n
That combination could help large electricity users create more measurable procurement strategies while managing reliability and cost.<\/p>\n
