The U.S. assumed the position of secretariat in June, replacing Hungary.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe United States is so grateful for the friendship we share with Argentina, and we are thrilled to welcome your nation as a signatory to the Geneva Consensus Declaration,\u201d Bethany Kozma, director of Global Affairs at HHS, said at the signing ceremony in Argentina.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2021\/10\/28\/gop-international-delegates-reaffirm-pro-life-declaration-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Geneva Consensus Declaration<\/a> \u201cseeks to expand health and thriving for women, and protect the sovereign right of nations to support health, life, and family through national policy and legislation.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The declaration was established under the first Trump administration with the U.S. as secretariat, but the Biden administration left the coalition of pro-life countries.
