{"id":116430,"date":"2026-08-17T12:42:10","date_gmt":"2026-08-17T12:42:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/116430\/"},"modified":"2026-08-17T12:42:10","modified_gmt":"2026-08-17T12:42:10","slug":"geneva-sets-parking-restrictions-for-car-show-shaw-local","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/116430\/","title":{"rendered":"Geneva sets parking restrictions for car show \u2013 Shaw Local"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/geneva\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/geneva\/\">Geneva<\/a> police will implement temporary parking restrictions for the upcoming Concours d\u2019Elegance from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23 on Third Street in the city\u2019s downtown, officials announced in a news release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">All streets are expected to reopen by 6:30 p.m. Aug. 23.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">Parking will be prohibited beginning at 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 on:<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">\u2022 Third Street from State\/Illinois Route 38 to South streets<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">\u2022 The 200 and 300 blocks of all cross streets with South Third Street<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">\u2022 The 100 block of Fulton Street<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">Parking will also be limited to one side of the street on the 400, 500 and 600 blocks of all cross streets with South Third Street, according to the release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">Several downtown roads will close to traffic beginning at 3 a.m. Aug. 23:<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">\u2022 Third from State to South streets<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">\u2022 Fourth Street from State to Franklin streets<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">\u2022 James and Campbell streets from Second to Fifth streets<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">\u2022 Franklin and Fulton streets from Second to Fourth streets<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">\u2022 100 block of Fulton Street only from 4 to 9 a.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">Motorists should use Illinois Route 31 as an alternate route during the event.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">No-parking signs will be posted during the morning Aug. 22 to notify downtown residents and visitors of the event restrictions.
