The application window period to submit an entry and represent Switzerland at Eurovision 2027 has opened today at 10 AM CEST.<\/p>\n
SRG SSR, the broadcaster in charge of the Swiss participation to the Eurovision Song Contest, has opened today the window to submit an entry for next year\u2019s contest. The application window will remain open until September 7th at 11 PM CEST on the platform srf.ch\/eurovision.<\/p>\n
As has been the case since 2019, Switzerland will choose their representative through an internal selection. This process combines the assessments of a national and international expert jury with an international Eurovision Song Contest fan jury, both being deliberately made younger to meet the current jury requirements of the EBU.<\/p>\n
Yves Schifferle, Head of Delegation for Switzerland, had previously commented:<\/p>\n
Our goal remains unchanged. We want to find songs and artists that are internationally compelling and, at the same time, authentically represent Switzerland. To achieve this, we are continuously developing our processes \u2013 based on our experience, with new ideas and modern tools.<\/p>\n
On another note, Lasse Nymann had been previously announced as the person responsible for the expanded artist and song search. The Norwegian songwriter and producer was part of the international team behind \u201cThe Code\u201d by Nemo, which won the Eurovision Song Contest for Switzerland in Malm\u00f6 in 2024. Nymann will be taking over from Pele Loriano after 12 years.<\/p>\n
Veronica Fusaro represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with \u201cAlice\u201d, but failed to qualify for the final. She narrowly missed out in a place in the final having placed 9th with both the public and the jury, but was 14 points away from a place in the final.<\/p>\n
