Set in 1960s New York City, the film stars Watts as &#8220;the enigmatic wife of a suspected Nazi,&#8221; according to an official <a href=\"https:\/\/zff.com\/en\/stories\/news\/naomi-watts-receives-golden-eye-award\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">description<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Other cast members include Tye Sheridan, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upi.com\/topic\/Michael_Imperioli\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Michael Imperioli\" class=\"tpstyle\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Michael Imperioli<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upi.com\/topic\/Luke-Evans\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Luke Evans\" class=\"tpstyle\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Luke Evans<\/a>, Lena Olin and Debi Mazar.<\/p>\n<p>Watts will personally attend the Zurich Film Festival to present The Housewife and accept her award Sept. 26, along with speaking at a ZFF Masters session.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Since her breakthrough in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upi.com\/topic\/David_Lynch\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"David Lynch\" class=\"tpstyle\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">David Lynch<\/a>&#8216;s Mulholland Drive, Naomi Watts has been one of the most fascinating actresses of our time. Her greatest performances thrive on the tension between glamour and darkness, between what a character reveals and what she conceals &#8212; making her the kind of character actress Hitchcock would have loved,&#8221; festival CEO Christian Jungen said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In The Housewife, she masters this ambiguity as an elegant and mysterious woman. At the same time, the film tells a true story that powerfully illustrates how indispensable investigative journalism is in uncovering historical crimes.
