\n The route stretched for 435 miles through the French Alps and featured elevation gains equivalent to climbing Y Wyddfa 17 times, testing competitors’ physical and mental limits across some of the continent’s most challenging mountain terrain.\n<\/p>\n
\n Morris’ latest achievement follows another career highlight earlier this summer when he finished third overall in the Race Across France.\n<\/p>\n
\n That event covered 2,500km and took place during a severe European heatwave, adding another level of difficulty for riders tackling the extreme challenge. Morris completed the race in 142 hours, 42 minutes and 56 seconds to secure a place on the podium.\n<\/p>\n
\n The result represented the highest-ever performance by a British rider in the history of the Race Across France.\n<\/p>\n
\n The back-to-back results underline the consistency Morris has shown throughout a season that has seen him compete against some of the world’s strongest endurance cyclists.\n<\/p>\n
\n His success is particularly notable given the setbacks he has faced in recent years.\n<\/p>\n
\n In 2025, Morris was forced to abandon the Race Across France after suffering a serious knee injury around the 1,500km mark.\n<\/p>\n
\n The disappointment brought an abrupt end to his race, but his performances in 2026 have demonstrated an impressive recovery and return to the highest level of competition.\n<\/p>\n
\n The Forden rider has also improved on previous achievements in Les G\u00e9ants.\n<\/p>\n
\n He finished seventh in the 2024 Les G\u00e9ants 1000K event, making this year’s shared victory another significant step forward in his ultra-cycling career.\n<\/p>\n
