(WITN) &#8211; Power has been restored after thousands of New Bern homes and businesses were in the dark.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Crews are still working to find out what caused the outage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">At one point Friday afternoon, more than 2,500 customers were without service. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The outage area included the airport, parts of James City, homes along Country Club Road, and into Trent Woods. <\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WITN.
