How will the EU react?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">China and Switzerland have concluded negotiations on the scrapping of tariffs on 99.8 per cent of Swiss exports, with analysts saying the deal carries more symbolic than economic weight amid growing trade tensions between China and the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement was announced by the Swiss side on Thursday after a meeting in Bern between <a target=\"_self\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/topics\/wang-wentao?module=inline&amp;pgtype=article\" title=\"\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Commerce Minister Wang Wentao<\/a> and Swiss President Guy Parmelin.
