{"id":12031,"date":"2026-02-18T19:31:13","date_gmt":"2026-02-18T19:31:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/12031\/"},"modified":"2026-02-18T19:31:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T19:31:13","slug":"korea-supports-rapid-growth-of-biopharma-companies-through-global-collaboration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/12031\/","title":{"rendered":"Korea supports rapid growth of biopharma companies through global collaboration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tKorea supports rapid growth of biopharma companies through global collaboration<\/p>\n<p class=\"float-left\">February 18, 2026 | Wednesday | News<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLaunch of \u201cK-Biopharma Next Bridge\u201d in partnership with Roche, AbbVie, Amgen, Novo Nordisk, MSD, and AstraZeneca<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1-27211.jpg\" class=\"img-fluid w-100 pl-5 pr-5\" alt=\"image credit- shutterstock\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"mt-3 text-center\">image credit- shutterstock<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Ministry of Health and Welfare (MoHW), South Korea government, and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) are recruiting participating companies for the 2026 Global Leading Company Collaboration Program (K-Biopharma Next Bridge) to promote global open innovation in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The MoHW and KHIDI have been implementing global open innovation support initiatives to address challenges faced by Korean companies, including limited experience and capital for global new drug development and significant uncertainty in overseas expansion due to differences in regulatory and policy environments across countries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Through various programmes conducted in partnership with global companies, the government has identified promising Korean companies and achieved outcomes in overseas expansion, including technology transfer and licensing deals.
