Dafoe plays Colonel John Hunt, the leader of the British expedition team. Thinley Lhamo plays Tenzing\u2019s wife Dawa. Caitr\u00edona Balfe co-stars as expedition secretary Jill Henderson.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tTenzing will open the 22nd <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/zurich-film-festival\/\" id=\"auto-tag_zurich-film-festival_1\" data-tag=\"zurich-film-festival\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Zurich Film Festival<\/a> on Sept. 24 in its European premiere. The film debuts at the Toronto Film Festival on Sept. 15. Hiddleston, Dafoe and Peedom will attend the Zurich opening night gala.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cThis year\u2019s ZFF motto is \u2018dream big.\u2019 Our breathtaking opening film Tenzing fits perfectly, because it shows how you can grow beyond yourself when you have a big dream,\u201d said Zurich Festival CEO Christian Jungen. \u201cThe film offers powerful emotion and mountain scenery of sublime beauty.
