The Zurich Film Festival has unveiled Bunker, Ink, Babies and Club Kid as fresh additions to its gala program.<\/p>\n
Lauren Miller Rogen’s starry drama Babies, featuring Anna Kendrick, Seth Rogen, Issa Rae, Dan Stevens, Kate Berlant, Zach Cherry, Ed Helms, Ashley Park, Sharon Stone, David Strathairn in the cast, will make its European premiere at the festival.<\/p>\n

Bunker and Ink will arrive fresh from their world premieres in Venice and North American debuts in Toronto, while Club Kid enjoyed a buzzy launch in Cannes and will also play in TIFF.<\/p>\n
Their arrival in the Swiss festival’s gala program bolsters its position as an awards season stop-off.<\/p>\n
Non-English language awards season hopefuls in the gala lineup include Swedish director Alex Schulmann’s drama Adult Supervision, starring Gustaf Skarsg\u00e5rd, Fares Fares and Linus Wahlgren as middle-aged fathers who chaperone their teenage daughters on a rowdy school trip<\/p>\n
There will also be world premieres for German director Frauke Finsterwalder’s mother and son tale Eurotrash, starring Barbara Sukowa and Alexander Fehling, as well as Albanian urban boxing drama Blood Money, starring rapper Noizy and Moritz Bleibtreu.<\/p>\n
“The programme ranges from the promising Club Kid by Jordan Firstman to new works by acclaimed filmmakers such as Ali Asgari, whose latest film will premiere in competition in Venice,” said Reta Guetg, Festival Director of the Zurich Film Festival of the gala lineup.<\/p>\n
“The films also feature major names in front of the camera, including Pen\u00e9lope Cruz, Javier Bardem and John Turturro. With Adult Supervision, we are also presenting a film that is already being tipped as a potential Swedish Oscar contender. We are very much looking forward to celebrating these films with our audience at ZFF.”<\/p>\n
