LONDON \u2014 European stocks are expected to open in mixed territory on Thursday as investors await further earnings reports.<\/p>\n
The U.K.’s FTSE<\/a> index is seen opening 0.15% higher, Germany’s DAX<\/a> down 0.25%, France’s CAC 40<\/a>\u00a0down 0.15% and Italy’s FTSE MIB<\/a> slightly below the flatline, according to data from IG.<\/p>\n It’s another busy day of earnings Thursday with Nestle<\/a>, Rio Tinto<\/a> and Zurich Insurance<\/a> among the European companies reporting.<\/p>\n Airbus<\/a> said Thursday it expects to\u00a0deliver 870 commercial aircraft in 2026<\/a>, slightly fewer than the roughly 880 analysts had expected. It comes as pressure is building for the European planemaker, with U.S. rival\u00a0Boeing<\/a>\u00a0showing signs of recovery after years of crisis, which has benefited Airbus.<\/p>\n Global market sentiment is also in focus; U.S. stock futures<\/a> traded near the flatline Wednesday night after the major averages posted a winning session Wednesday, buoyed by gains across the “Magnificent Seven” technology stocks and strength in financials and energy names.<\/p>\n Investors stateside also weighed minutes from the Federal Reserve’s January meeting, which\u00a0reflected a divide among central bank officials<\/a>\u00a0on the future outlook for monetary policy.<\/p>\n Oil prices rose by more than 4% yesterday after U.S. Vice President JD Vance said that Iran did not address\u00a0core U.S. demands<\/a>\u00a0in nuclear talks this week. He said that President\u00a0Donald Trump\u00a0maintains the right to use military force\u00a0if diplomatic efforts do not stop Iran’s nuclear program.\u00a0<\/p>\n
