Fuze Finance announced its entry into Switzerland on Sept. 8 after the Supervisory Organisation for Financial Intermediaries and Trustees, or SO-FIT, approved it as an affiliated financial intermediary. The company said the status places its Swiss operation under supervision for compliance with the country\u2019s Anti-Money Laundering Act.<\/p>\n

The expansion is Fuze\u2019s first move into Western Europe, adding to its regulated operations in the Middle East, Turkey and Canada. Its official announcement<\/a> also draws a firm boundary around the approval: Fuze is not a bank and is neither licensed nor directly supervised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority, known as FINMA.<\/p>\n

Fuze targets banks, fintechs and wealth managers<\/p>\n

Fuze plans to provide crypto-asset infrastructure and stablecoin settlement to institutional clients alongside conventional SWIFT, SEPA and Swiss Interbank Clearing rails. The stated product set includes institutional crypto brokerage, agency-based over-the-counter execution and embedded brokerage services.<\/p>\n

For private banks and wealth managers, the company says services will be delivered through Swiss-regulated partner banks and fintechs under a fully disclosed model. Access is limited to institutional and professional clients on a business-to-business basis; Fuze says it will not offer retail services in Switzerland.<\/p>\n

SO-FIT affiliation defines the regulatory scope<\/p>\n

SO-FIT is the supervisory organization named in the announcement, while FINMA remains the national regulator referenced in Fuze\u2019s disclaimer. That distinction matters because affiliation for anti-money-laundering supervision is not the same as holding a banking license or being directly supervised by FINMA.<\/p>\n

The structure resembles other crypto-infrastructure providers using Swiss supervisory affiliations to serve institutions. BlockchainReporter previously covered Yellow Card\u2019s Swiss AML affiliation<\/a>, which likewise focused on regulated access to stablecoin services rather than a consumer-facing banking launch.<\/p>\n

Local operations are part of the rollout<\/p>\n

Fuze said it is establishing an on-the-ground team with local decision-making, led by Switzerland country manager Gianluca Masini. The company identified Lugano in its release and positioned the operation as a route for Swiss institutions to add digital-asset services without building every brokerage and settlement component internally.<\/p>\n

Chief Executive Mo Ali Yusuf said Swiss banks and fintechs need \u201csecure, regulated infrastructure suitable for the future of finance.\u201d That is a company assessment, not evidence of adoption already achieved.
