Skiers have been killed and injured in deadly avalanches that struck across the Austrian Alps today. <\/p>\n
The emergency services in the Arlberg area of Tyrol have pulled people out of the snow after avalanches were triggered. <\/p>\n
Searches are ongoing, with multiple helicopters circling the mountains and the village of St Anton. <\/p>\n
Two people were reportedly dead when they were rescued from the snow. <\/p>\n
Another five people may still be missing, according to Kronen Zeitung. <\/p>\n
There are fears the death toll could rise as at least one person was resuscitated while another was airlifted to the hospital. <\/p>\n
