Moment village vanishes in snow cloud as another avalanche swallows up building<\/p>\n

Mayor Helmut Mall described chaotic scenes, with crews battling the snow as the search continued into the evening.<\/p>\n
The avalanche was triggered in an off-piste ski area and was so vast it could be seen from both the village and the ski resort.<\/p>\n
Mall said that despite the scale, he stressed there is \u201cabsolutely no\u201d danger to the village or other inhabited areas.<\/p>\n
The snow mass stretched far into the valley but did not threaten homes.<\/p>\n
Radios crackled in the background as helicopters circled overhead. <\/p>\n
Police, multiple mountain rescue teams \u2013 from St. Anton, Pettneu, Flirsch and Landeck \u2013 and emergency crews flooded the scene.<\/p>\n
Footage showed the avalanche ripping down near the Rendl cable car as sirens wailed below.<\/p>\n
The deadly St. Anton slide is just one in a terrifying series of avalanches across Tyrol.<\/p>\n
According to the Krone newspaper, at least three people died on Friday \u2013 two in St. Anton and a 42-year-old father in Nauders.<\/p>\n
In Nauders, below the Piengkopf mountain, a dad and his 16-year-old son from Germany were buried. <\/p>\n
The teen was rescued with serious injuries, but his father could not be saved.<\/p>\n
The grim incidents come as avalanche danger in Tyrol surges.<\/p>\n
Below the tree line, the risk sits at level 2 out of 5 in most areas. <\/p>\n
But above it, the danger jumps dramatically.<\/p>\n
According to the Tyrolean state avalanche report, many regions are at level 4 \u2013 classified as high \u2013 after heavy fresh snowfall.<\/p>\n
With off-piste skiers chasing powder, authorities are urging extreme caution.<\/p>\n
