Snow Report: 5 February 2026 Full detailed report covering the Alps, other European ski resorts, and North
America (US & Canada), including snow depths, conditions, and forecasts. 5 February 2026

Snow conditions remain pretty good across most of the Alps, especially in the south which has seen the lion’s share of the snow that has fallen in recent days. This snow has been particularly
welcome in ski resorts hosting the Winter Olympics (e.g. Livigno, Cortina), which had otherwise endured a remarkably dry start to the season.

The very best snow conditions, however, are in the southern French Alps (e.g. Risoul, Isola 2000) and the southern Piemonte (e.g. Prato Nevoso) where yet more snow is forecast on Thursday night.

Further north, there has been less snow in recent days. However, the rest of the French Alps (e.g. 3 Valleys, Grand Massif, Portes du Soleil) already have good cover at all altitudes, with a
further top-up due tonight.

Carinthia (which has been very snowy in recent days) aside, snow depths remain considerably below par across most of Switzerland and Austria, however, resorts here are still offering plenty of
good piste skiing.

Tonight and tomorrow’s storm will mostly affect the western and south-western Alps, after which the next significant
widespread snow is likely to fall around the middle of next week, with the prospect of some really big snowfalls in the run up to half term. Watch this space!

Across the pond many western US resorts continue to struggle, while the eastern US remains decidedly wintry!

Weather to Ski weathertoski.co.uk 5 February 2026 Overview of the latest snow conditions for the Alps, other European…

[16
50,1944,1949,1945,1943,1947,1951,1941,1939,1955,1961,1957,1872,1942,1950,1960,1952,1953,1940,1959,1878,1880,1962,1958,1954,1956,1946,1948
post-1525","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-alps","tag-alps","tag-austria-snow-report","tag-canada-snow-report","tag-france-snow-report","tag-how-much-snow","tag-italy-snow-report","tag-piste-conditions","tag-ski-conditions","tag-ski-info","tag-snow-austria","tag-snow-bulgaria","tag-snow-canada","tag-snow-conditions","tag-snow-data","tag-snow-depth","tag-snow-finland","tag-snow-france","tag-snow-italy","tag-snow-news","tag-snow-norway","tag-snow-report","tag-snow-report-alps","tag-snow-scotland","tag-snow-sweden","tag-snow-switzerland","tag-snow-usa","tag-switzerland-snow-report","tag-usa-snow-report
["GET
