In Selargius, on the outskirts of Cagliari,\u00a0Studio Castello Engineering\u00a0has created the\u00a0first digital condominium in Sardinia, thanks to\u00a0ABB’s Smart Buildings solutions. These include:<\/p>\n
\nDALI-2 smart lighting\u00a0adjusts to presence and natural light, ensuring that the lights are only turned on when needed.
\nABB KNX Mini Premium\u00a0presence detectors, installed in stairs and shared spaces, avoid energy waste and increase the safety of residents.
\nTo encourage the use of renewable energy, the building’s photovoltaic (PV) system is monitored via a\u00a0KNX Modbus gateway, which allows real-time visualization of energy production and consumption.
\nA\u00a0KNX weather station\u00a0also provides up-to-date climate data, helping to optimise performance according to outdoor conditions.

All the infrastructure in the complex is managed via the\u00a0ABB SCU100 controller. The project represents an example of how\u00a0digitalisation\u00a0can transform residential life \u2013 improving comfort and safety, reducing energy consumption and simplifying building management.<\/p>\n
