Team USA ends gold medal drought in men\u2019s hockey<\/p>\n
Team USA is golden! The U.S. men\u2019s hockey team has won the gold medal for the first time since the 1980 \u201cMiracle on Ice\u201d team<\/a> that upset the Soviet Union. In an incredible game that saw Canada dominate the scoring chances, U.S. goalie Connor Hellebuyck was a brick wall. And when the game went to overtime, Jack Hughes was the hero just over 90 seconds later.<\/p>\n Eileen Gu adds another gold to her collection<\/p>\n The freestyle skiing halfpipe final was postponed due to a snowstorm<\/a>, but that didn\u2019t stop Eileen Gu, the American-born freeskier who competes for China, from winning her second consecutive Olympic gold medal in the women\u2019s halfpipe. Sweden\u2019s Ebba Andersson (gold), Norway\u2019s Heidi Weng (silver) and Switzerland\u2019s Nadja K\u00e4lin (bronze), just had their medal ceremony at the Closing Ceremony in front of most of the entire delegation of a athletes<\/p>\n Andersson won the women\u2019s 50KM cross-country skiing mass start event, held earlier Sunday as one of the final events of the Games.<\/p>\n The 50K men\u2019s medalist also had their medal ceremony following Saturday\u2019s event, which was a Norwegian sweep. Johannes Kl\u00e6bo secured his Winter Olympics record sixth gold medal of these Games in the event alongside countrymen Martin Nyenget (silver) and Emil Iversen (bronze).<\/p>\n Norway\u2019s 18 gold medals and 41 total medals were also a record for a single Winter Games.<\/p>\n Jason Owens<\/p>\n We\u2019ve moved on to the dance party portion of the evening. A dance troupe has taken the stage surrounded by strobe lights and mirrors, dancing to electronic music.<\/p>\n Jason Owens<\/p>\n Alysa Liu\u2019s still beaming from her gold medal win in women\u2019s figure skating.
