It’s been five months since Sarah Ferguson<\/a> was last photographed in public.<\/p>\n

Ever since fresh revelations about her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein<\/a> were released, the former duchess has been nowhere to be seen.<\/p>\n

She was most recently snapped on September 25, 2025, when she was being driven out of Royal Lodge in Windsor. The 66-year-old is also said to have made a brief appearance at her granddaughter Athena’s Christening at St James’s Palace on December 12 – although there are no images from the ceremony.<\/p>\n

As public outrage over her links to Epstein started to reach fever pitch last month, Sarah reportedly flew overseas. But she is now said to be hiding out in the UK, with a friend saying she has become ‘paranoid’ her location will be discovered.<\/p>\n

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Fergie has not been seen at Sandringham since Andrew moved there – with one source suggesting that she wants to ‘keep her distance’ from her ex-husband.<\/p>\n

Recent reports suggest that shortly after Christmas<\/a>, Sarah checked into one of the world<\/a>‘s most expensive wellness clinics. It’s claimed that she booked a stay at the \u00a313,000-a-day Paracelsus Recovery Clinic in Zurich, Switzerland, where she remained until the end of January. A Swiss source told the Daily Mail: “She always feels at home at Paracelsus, and knows she’ll get love and attention there, as well as expert health treatment when she\u2019s feeling at her most vulnerable.”<\/p>\n

It’s one of a number of rumoured locations; Sarah is also said to have spent time in the French Alps before moving on to the United Arab Emirates – where she reportedly reunited with her youngest daughter Eugenie, who was in Doha attending an art fair as part of her job with art dealer Hauser and Wirth.<\/p>\n

Sarah is then said to have travelled to Florida with her son-in-law Edoardo Mapelli-Mozzi – Princess Beatrice’s husband – as he attended a design conference in Palm Beach, before moving on to a French ski resort to ‘get her head together’ with friends. Most recently, she is said to have hopped over to Switzerland to join Eugenie’s half-term ski holiday in Gstaad last week.<\/p>\n

She is now apparently hiding out in the UK, thanks to the loyalty of some close friends. Sources told the Mail that Sarah has since been ‘sofa-surfing on a global scale’ – relying on her daughters to help her keep a low profile by piggy-backing on their work and social arrangements.<\/p>\n

She is also reportedly constantly on the move, paranoid that her location will be discovered. “She notifies friends of her last location only once she has safely moved on to the next. She wants to avoid being photographed,” one source told the Mail.<\/p>\n

A friend of Sarah’s recently spoke about her wellbeing, telling the outlet: <\/a>“She feels deeply depressed and that the world <\/a>is out to get her. She is very, very down. Some people, including Sarah herself, are worried for her mental health.<\/p>\n

“[But] what she doesn’t appear to feel is remorse for what has happened. She just wants this to all go away and allow her to get on with her life. Her head is in the sand.”<\/p>\n

Sarah’s future looks uncertain, but despite her struggles, it was claimed last week that she is plotting a ‘comeback’ of sorts. A source told the Mail that she is scouting around for a new PR team and apparently told friends: “I need to get back to work. I need money.”<\/p>\n

Fergie is now effectively homeless following Andrew’s eviction from Royal Lodge. And while reports suggest she does want to stay in Windsor, she will likely struggle to find a property; Sarah has an estimated net worth of just \u00a3752,000 according to Yahoo! Finance, while terraced houses in the historic town sell for in excess of \u00a3800,000.<\/p>\n

Instead, many experts believe she will likely settle abroad in an attempt to escape the public furore in her home country. According to royal author Andrew Lownie: “In Britain, neither Sarah nor Andrew will be socially accepted again, whatever they try to do or wherever they go. But in the Middle East, no one will care about what they have got up to. There are people there – royalty, politicians and business types – whom Sarah can quite happily sponge off and who will be happy to bankroll both of them.<\/p>\n

“These types of people in the Middle East simply couldn’t care less what Sarah has done.
