(WITN) &#8211; A motorcyclist was killed in an accident in New Bern. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">New Bern police say they were called to the scene of a fatal accident near 1800 South Glenburnie Road around 8:15 p.m. yesterday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Police say preliminary reports show that the motorcyclist, identified as 23-year-old Allen Birzack, was traveling southbound when a Toyota Camry tried to take a left turn out of a parking lot and collided with the motorcycle. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">First responders quickly arrived at the crash and tried life-saving measures, but Birzack was pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Police say next of kin have been notified. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Police are reminding all motorists to remain attentive, obey traffic laws and be mindful of pedestrians and other drivers, especially at intersections, where visibility and timing are critical. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Police say the crash is still under investigation, and further details will be released as they become available. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">If you have any information related to the accident, you\u2019re asked to call New Bern police at 252-672-4103. <\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 WITN.
