The White House on
\nTuesday reaffirmed that the United States will not permit Iran to enrich
\nuranium, ahead of nuclear talks set for February 26 in Geneva.<\/p>\n
A senior US administration
\nofficial told Shafaq News that President Donald Trump remains committed to
\npreventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons or retaining the capacity to
\nproduce them.<\/p>\n
On February 19, US
\nPresident Donald Trump gave Iran 15 days to reach what he called a \u201cmeaningful
\ndeal,\u201d warning of consequences if talks fail, while Iranian officials
\nreiterated their right to continue uranium enrichment. The New York Times
\nreported that Trump is weighing military options should diplomacy
\ncollapse, including potential strikes on Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps
\nbases, nuclear facilities, and ballistic missile infrastructure.<\/p>\n
