Further<br \/>\ntechnical negotiations are scheduled for March 2 in Vienna.<\/p>\n<p>Tehran has<br \/>\nmaintained that the negotiations are confined to its nuclear program and the<br \/>\nlifting of sanctions, while US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called Iran\u2019s<br \/>\nrefusal to address its ballistic missile program a \u201cmajor problem.\u201d Washington<br \/>\nis seeking permanent guarantees on uranium enrichment levels and inspection<br \/>\nmechanisms to ensure Iran cannot develop a nuclear weapon, a goal Tehran has<br \/>\nconsistently denied pursuing.<\/p>\n<p>US President<br \/>\nDonald Trump has ordered the largest American military build-up in the Middle<br \/>\nEast since the 2003 invasion of Iraq, and has cautioned that military options<br \/>\nremain on the table if diplomacy fails.
