GENEVA \u2014 A city resident is under arrest following a stabbing incident Saturday morning at the Genesis Way apartment complex in the town.<\/p>\n
Corwin L. Coleman, 57, was charged by the Ontario County Sheriff\u2019s Office with first-degree assault.<\/p>\n
Police responded to a 911 call and found a victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. Finger Lakes Ambulance took the victim to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, where the person was listed in stable condition.<\/p>\n
Law enforcement said the suspect, who was identified as Coleman, fled the scene on foot.<\/p>\n
About 90 minutes later, Geneva Police Department officers saw Coleman walking into a building in the town and took him into custody.<\/p>\n
Coleman, whom police said is on parole for robbery, was taken to the county jail to be arraigned.<\/p>\n
Deputies called it an isolated incident, as Coleman and the victim knew each other.<\/p>\n
An order of protection will be requested on behalf of the victim.<\/p>\n
