{"id":2538,"date":"2026-02-12T11:28:13","date_gmt":"2026-02-12T11:28:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/2538\/"},"modified":"2026-02-12T11:28:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-12T11:28:13","slug":"executive-board-to-meet-in-lausanne-on-14-15-december-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/2538\/","title":{"rendered":"Executive board to meet in Lausanne on 14-15 December 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The World Archery executive board will convene this weekend in Lausanne (Switzerland) for a comprehensive meeting to outline priorities for the federation\u2019s long-term future.<\/p>\n<p>It is the first time the executive board has met in person since the Hyundai World Archery Championships in September in Gwangju (Korea), where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldarchery.sport\/athlete\/23221\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Greg Easton<\/a> was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldarchery.sport\/news\/202139\/greg-easton-elected-10th-president-world-archery\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">elected the federation\u2019s 10th president<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hosting the first meeting in the Olympic Capital reconfirms World Archery\u2019s commitment to the Olympic Movement. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.olympics.com\/ioc\/news\/olympic-summit-reaffirms-athletes-fundamental-rights-to-access-sport-without-political-interference\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">outcomes of the International Olympic Committee Summit held in Lausanne last week<\/a> will be a key topic at the meeting, particularly the latest recommendations regarding AIN status.<\/p>\n<p>Possible qualification procedures for the upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldarchery.sport\/competition\/24471\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">LA28 Olympic Games<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldarchery.sport\/competition\/21983\/dakar-2026-youth-olympic-games-date-tb\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games<\/a> will be presented.<\/p>\n<p>The event will also mark the formal introductions of new secretary general <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldarchery.sport\/athlete\/56175\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Raul Calin<\/a> and executive director <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldarchery.sport\/athlete\/1059\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Juan Carlos Holgado<\/a> to the board.
