(WITN) &#8211; A natural gas leak has shut down a street in downtown New Bern this afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The city says the 400 block of Pollock Street, between Middle and Hancock, is shut down to all traffic because of the leak.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The leak is under the sidewalk in front of the Civic Theater.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Piedmont Natural Gas crews are at the location and the city expects the street to be closed for a couple of hours.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2026 WITN.
