Great Britain 6, Sweden 3<\/p>\n

In a rematch of the gold medal match from the 2022 Olympics, Great Britain got the best of Sweden this time around.<\/p>\n

Bruce Mouat’s team opened the game with two points and never looked back. They stole another point in the fifth, and finished with two in the seventh on the way to the win.<\/p>\n

Mouat shot 100 percent on draws and 88 percent on takeouts in the win. Great Britain shot 90 percent on takeouts with 34 in the match as a team, compared to just 21 takeouts on 71 percent shooting for Sweden.<\/p>\n

With the loss, Sweden \u2014 the defending gold medalists \u2014 falls to 0-2 in Cortina. They’ll look for win No. 1 at 1:05 p.m. ET on Friday when they take on Canada.<\/p>\n

Great Britain will hit the ice at 3:05 a.m. ET on Friday to take on Italy.<\/p>\n
