The company&#8217;s chief executive officer stated such a move might attract additional investors and provide an alternative to existing major <a href=\"https:\/\/companies.indexbox.io\/companies?search=mining\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">mining<\/a> listings.<\/p>\n<p>The CEO noted that any listing process would require engagement with shareholders and seeking professional advice before proceeding. The company has declined to comment further on the report.<\/p>\n<p>This consideration follows the collapse of takeover discussions with <a href=\"https:\/\/app.indexbox.io\/companies\/profile\/1646286\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Rio Tinto<\/a> earlier this year. Those negotiations, which spanned several months, ended after Glencore determined the proposed terms did not adequately reflect the value of its copper assets and growth prospects. Rio Tinto separately concluded the transaction would not generate sufficient value for its own shareholders.<\/p>\n<p>Glencore previously assessed relocating its primary listing from London to the United States but decided against it last year, citing significant cost complexities.
