\n Today’s example is again from
\n the Office of the High
\n Commission for Human Rights,
\n to which Guterres appointed
\n his unqualified crony Volker
\n Turk more than two years ago.
\n <\/p>\n

\n staff: “Dear Matthew Russell
\n Lee, We are so grateful for
\n you efforts to expose UN
\n corruption. Volker Turk is the
\n ultimate flamboyant and
\n pedantic UN bureaucrat.
\n Protected by his master,
\n useless, irrelevant and
\n corrupt Fat Tony Guterres,
\n Turk opened the Human Rights
\n Council with a quote that
\n defines him, that he put on X:
\n “Human rights are anathema to
\n supremacy: they are a direct
\n challenge to those who seek
\n & cling to power. That is
\n what makes human rights
\n radical & that is what
\n gives them force.”<\/p>\n
\u00a0Maybe this
\n explains his dislike for
\n whistleblowers.\u00a0 Turk\u2019s
\n only purpose in OHCHR is to
\n cling to power while OHCHR
\n becomes irrelevant. He has
\n turned a blind eye to the
\n dismissal of all young
\n colleagues, he has surrounded
\n himself with friends and
\n cronies, he has tolerated the
\n reprisals against
\n whistleblowers and he has
\n wasted millions. <\/p>\n
Now OHCHR is a
\n sad place, bankrupted, full of
\n cronies like Maarit Kohonen,
\n Matthias Behnke (Turk\u2019s
\n protege), Veronica Birga,
\n Juliette de Rivero, Francesco
\n Motta, Scott Campbell, Peggy
\n Hicks or Michael Camilleri
\n where corrupt Kim Taylor and
\n Nada Al Nashif (soon to leave)
\n do all the dirty work. Volker
\n Turk has depleted OHCHR\u2019s
\n accounts with his meaningless
\n initiatives. Worse, he seeks a
\n renewal of his mandate (and
\n xpiring this September).
\n Member states must act to
\n prevent a renewal by Guterres.
\n Member states must act now:
\n audit OHCHR and get a new High
\n Commissioner for Human Rights
\n before Volker Turk destroys
\n OHCHR. This Human Rights
\n Council should mark the
\n begining of the recruitment
\n process for a new High
\n Commissioner. Volker Turk and
\n all his cronies must go.”<\/p>\n

\n on June 19, 2025 – no answer
\n at all from Melissa Fleming,
\n Tel Mekel, Stephane Dujarric
\n for six months, then a denial
\n with no reason at all given.
\n Today’s UN is corrupt.<\/p>\n
