The Greater Berks Development Fund, part of the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, said that it has sold 24 acres of land to C&B Development LLC<\/a> of Wyomissing.\u00a0\u00a0\n<\/p>\n GBDF purchased\u00a0the land\u00a0in 2018 with the purpose of providing industrially zoned land for business\u00a0attraction\u00a0and growth.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n The property is\u00a0located\u00a0on Van Reed Road<\/a> in Bern Township.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Construction of a 221,000-square-foot building on the site has\u00a0been\u00a0approved\u00a0and construction is expected to start in the spring.\u00a0\u00a0\n<\/p>\n \u201cIt has been a pleasure working with the GBDF team over the past few years. This has been a complicated project that\u00a0required\u00a0quite a bit of collaboration, and we are very appreciative of GBDF\u2019s support,\u201d said Matt Close, C&B Development LLC\u00a0partner. \u201cWe believe this project will be\u00a0very beneficial\u00a0to the\u00a0community,\u00a0and we are proud to invest in Berks County<\/a>. We hope to continue to collaborate with GBDF on future opportunities.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\n<\/p>\n Previous\u00a0sales from the GBDF\u2019s 100-acre holdings in and around Van Reed and Leisz\u2019s Bridge Roads include G&T Foam, UGI Utilities Inc. and Mid-Atlantic Interstate Transmissions LLC.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Currently, an 8-acre and an 11-acre parcel remain available for sale.\u00a0\u00a0\n<\/p>\n \u201cWe are pleased to have worked with C&B on this transaction.
