The rally highlighted support for the NCRI\u2019s initiative as a viable democratic alternative for Iran following the death of <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2020\/10\/who-is-ali-khamenei-iranian-regime-supreme-leader\/19254\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ali Khamenei<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"896\" data-end=\"1384\">Participants reiterated their rejection of both the former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">monarchical<\/a> system and the current religious dictatorship, arguing that Iran\u2019s future must be determined by its people through democratic governance.
