(WNCT) \u2014 The \u201cNew Bern Strong\u201d mural has been painted over for the production of a new mural by the building\u2019s new owner, The Craven Arts Council and Gallery said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The mural, which was completed in 2024, was created in memoriam to the effects of Hurricane Florence and to remark on their resilience and strength, the Arts Council said.<\/p>\n<p>It was located on the property of 328 South Front Street and relied on over 300 volunteers and local sponsors.<\/p>\n<p>The building was sold in 2025 to King &amp; Lasso.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
