{"id":37053,"date":"2026-03-23T11:09:04","date_gmt":"2026-03-23T11:09:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/37053\/"},"modified":"2026-03-23T11:09:04","modified_gmt":"2026-03-23T11:09:04","slug":"hong-kong-to-sign-landmark-art-basel-collaboration-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/37053\/","title":{"rendered":"Hong Kong to sign landmark Art Basel collaboration deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Hong Kong is to sign a five-year deal with Art Basel by the end of the month \u2013 the first such collaboration between the city\u2019s cultural authorities and the premier fair \u2013 highlighting the link between financial investment and the development of the sector.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law Shuk-pui said the collaboration with Art Basel for the next five years was the \u201cresult of sustained investment in our role as a global financial centre, collaboration and a shared commitment to make Hong Kong a place where the arts can truly flourish.\u201d<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Law also underscored the importance of the arts during times of complex geopolitics at the International Cultural Summit hosted by the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cWe\u2019re witnessing growing geopolitical complexity around the world. In times like this, culture matters more than ever.
