Electric vehicle (EV) charging network GRIDSERVE has today announced the introduction of ABB E-mobility\u2019s new A400 charger on the Electric Highway.<\/p>\n
The charger will make its debut at GRIDSERVE\u2019s latest EV charging station at Centaurus Park in Bristol,\u00a0located one mile from Junction 17 of the M5.<\/p>\n
ABB E-mobility\u2019s A400 charger has been designed to tackle three of the biggest challenges in EV charging today: reliability, simplicity and operational efficiency.<\/p>\n
It features an all-new 32-inch touchscreen interface, guiding drivers clearly through each step of the EV charging process \u2013 from plugging in to payment, and has been engineered for uptime and charging success rate in line with the requirements of the UK Public Charging Point Regulation (UK PCPR).<\/p>\n
The ABB A400 also deliver up to 400kW of ultra-rapid charging power, which is enough for the latest electric vehicles to add more than one hundred miles of range in less than 10 minutes.<\/p>\n
In addition, two CCS charging ports allow two vehicles to charge simultaneously, while dynamic power sharing means that the full 400kW can be modulated between both vehicles depending on their charging needs.<\/p>\n
