GENEVA \u2014 City police are investigating a reported shooting that occurred Sunday morning on Reed Street, sending one man to the hospital with injuries.<\/p>\n
Geneva Police Chief Ron Eveland said police received a call at about 3:20 a.m., with the caller reportedly having heard a loud bang. Officers were dispatched to the scene and found a large after-hours party. Eveland described people there as not cooperative and denying that anything was wrong.<\/p>\n
Police said officers secured several 9mm handgun casings outside of the residence.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Eveland said a short time later, police received a 911 call from Geneva General Hospital that a man, whom police did not name, suffering from several gunshot wounds had been dropped off for treatment. Eveland described the shots as being to the victim\u2019s lower leg and upper torso.<\/p>\n
The man was flown by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. While his condition was not available as of Monday morning, Eveland said the injuries were not life-threatening.<\/p>\n
