Black Queens player Benedicte Simon has won the 2026 Swiss Cup with Servette Women’s team after defeating YB Frauen in the final on Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The French-born Ghanaian defender played a role as Servette FCCF made history by becoming the first team to lift the new trophy of the AXA Women’s Cup, specially designed for the 50th edition. It is the third time the Swiss women’s giants are winning the competition.<\/p>\n
Simon was introduced in the second half, replacing Laura Tufo in the 78th minute, as Servette display solid defending in the final minutes to clinch the trophy.<\/p>\n
In a tightly contested game on Sunday, a second half header from veteran Paulo Serrano sealed victory for the favourites.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, it is Simon’s first trophy with Servette since joining in 2025. The versatile player could add the league title to the Swiss Cup with Servette sitting comfortably at the top of the Women’s Super League.<\/p>\n
Servette recently made her debut for the Black Queens, featuring in the international friendly against England in December 2025.<\/p>\n
