(WITN) &#8211; A woman wanted in New Bern for stealing nearly $8,000 in gold jewelry has been arrested in Kinston.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Kinston police nabbed Megan Carter on Monday after getting a tip that she was in the East New Bern Road area. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The 36-year-old Deep Run woman was charged with felony larceny.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Court records say she is accused of stealing six 14K gold jewelry items, and one bracelet worth $7907 from a woman on March 2nd.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Carter was released after posting a $10,000 bond.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2026 WITN.
