Roche, the world\u2019s largest biotechnology company and a global leader in in-vitro diagnostics, has announced that Wafaa Mamilli will assume the role of Chief Digital Technology Officer, reporting to Group CEO Thomas Schinecker, effective February 10, 2025. In this role, Mamilli will lead the global Informatics function at Roche, a responsibility previously held by Alan Hippe, who will now focus exclusively on his role as Chief Financial Officer. Mamilli will be based at Genentech in South San Francisco and will join the company’s enlarged Corporate Executive Committee.<\/p>\n

With a distinguished career at the intersection of technology and life sciences, Mamilli brings a wealth of expertise to Roche. Most recently, she served as Chief Digital & Technology Officer and Group President for China, Brazil and Precision Animal Health at Zoetis. Before that, she spent over two decades at Eli Lilly and Company in various leadership positions, culminating in her role as global chief information officer for the company\u2019s business units. Her deep experience in digital innovation and AI-driven transformation aligns with Roche\u2019s ambitions to enhance healthcare delivery and operational efficiency through cutting-edge technology.<\/p>\n
