NEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) – In downtown New Bern, where the lights shine so bright, the Beary Merry Christmas brings pure magical delight. <\/p>\n
With elves on the shelves and a grinch in the mix, trees full of sparkle and ornament tricks. <\/p>\n
The festive event turns Bear Plaza so grand, into Santa\u2019s own North Pole, the best in the land. <\/p>\n
\u201cI enjoy seeing the magic in the children\u2019s eyes. There\u2019s a special age, a sweet spot, when the kids come in at the just right age, and they see Santa, and it all becomes real, so magical,\u201d Santa said.<\/p>\n
One dad shares the joy that this season brings near, passing down memories year after year. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe took a lot of pictures when I was a kid and a lot of memories with the family growing up, and I definitely want to make memories with my kids,\u201d Edward Garcia said. <\/p>\n
But even the grown-ups can\u2019t hide their festive delight, the Christmas spirit shines throughout the plaza ever so bright. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter how old you are, as you can always have Christmas spirit,\u201d Beary Merry Christmas manager Katherine Banks said. \u201cWe have grandpas and grandma come here, and they\u2019re just so happy to see Santa, and it really just resonates with me.\u201d <\/p>\n
It\u2019s all part of Beary Merry, this joyful affair, with Christmas so close, magic fills the air. <\/p>\n
Santa\u2019s still waiting with a ho-ho-ho cheer, make your wishes while the holiday\u2019s here. <\/p>\n
Families still have time to make last-minute wishes with Santa in Bear Plaza at his cottage. The Beary Merry Santa meet and greet final call is Christmas Eve at 2:00 PM. <\/p>\n
