ZURICH, April 5 (Reuters) – Italy’s ambassador to Switzerland will return to his post, the Swiss foreign ministry said, months after he was recalled in protest over Swiss authorities’ handling of a deadly New Year’s Day bar fire in the Alpine resort of Crans-Montana.<\/p>\n

Italy\u2019s Response to the Fire<\/p>\n

Italy recalled the diplomat in January to express its disapproval at the release on bail of the owner of the bar, where a fire killed 41 people, including six Italian nationals, in one of the worst disasters in modern Swiss history. <\/p>\n

Ambassador\u2019s Return to Switzerland<\/p>\n

The Swiss foreign ministry said the ambassador, Gian Lorenzo Cornado, was expected to arrive in Bern on Monday.<\/p>\n
