The remaining 55% stake in the plant will be held and operated by Alumicore.<\/p>\n<p>The investment follows earlier financial backing from Glencore for the project, which previously secured the company marketing rights for the facility&#8217;s output. The move is part of a strategy to support a domestic aluminium supply chain in the United States, where Glencore also holds a stake in <a href=\"https:\/\/app.indexbox.io\/companies\/profile\/741752\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Century Aluminum<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Alumicore operates a similar recycling facility in Monessen, Pennsylvania, and is developing another advanced processing plant in Pittsburgh.
