On April 15, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov of Azerbaijan received Deputy State Secretary of the Swiss Confederation and Head of the Eurasia Division of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Pierre-Yves Fux, with the meeting focusing on the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Switzerland.<\/p>\n
The discussions covered a broad range of areas, including political dialogue, economic and trade cooperation, energy, transport, and other sectors of mutual interest, Caliber.Az<\/a> reports per the ministry<\/a>.<\/p>\n The sides also reviewed collaboration within international organisations and platforms, as well as Switzerland\u2019s upcoming priorities as Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE.<\/p>\n Regional and international security issues were likewise addressed, including the post-conflict situation in the region, Azerbaijan\u2019s peace agenda, reconstruction and restoration efforts, and demining activities. Additional views were exchanged on other matters of shared concern.<\/p>\n On the same day, another round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Switzerland took place.
