Zurich Retail Protection has today launched a bespoke Private Client Service to meet the rising demand for specialist support for advisers with Ultra\u2011High\u2011Net\u2011Worth (UHNW) protection cases, complementing its existing highly regarded large case underwriting service.<\/p>\n

Advisers will receive dedicated support from an experienced team of sales consultants, underwriters, case\u00a0handlers\u00a0and administrators for UHNW cases. Clients will also\u00a0benefit\u00a0from fast-tracked medical screening, access to private medical clinics and support from a dedicated Customer Services team for post-issue servicing queries.<\/p>\n

Tools to support advisers<\/p>\n

To support the launch of the Private Client service, Zurich has\u00a0launched a\u00a0new wealth protection website hub and technical guide\u00a0providing a\u00a0raft of\u00a0new content\u00a0and tools to support adviser conversations about\u00a0estate planning\u00a0using\u00a0life\u00a0insurance\u00a0policies.<\/p>\n

Andy Roberts, Head of Specialist Propositions\u00a0at Zurich\u00a0UK comments:\u00a0\u201cBy 2031, the OBR expects\u00a0around 14% of all Inheritance Tax\u00a0(IHT)\u00a0receipts\u00a0to be\u00a0as a result of\u00a0the latest government reforms. As long-standing reliefs are\u00a0scaled\u00a0back and pensions are brought into the IHT net, families\u00a0will\u00a0have fewer\u00a0ways\u00a0to manage their exposure. This shift is driving increased interest in the role of life insurance can play in estate planning\u00a0as\u00a0it offers certainty and provides\u00a0a faster solution\u00a0for executors\u00a0to settle IHT bills.<\/p>\n

Zurich has also produced three new calculators designed to aid adviser conversations with their clients\u00a0which includes:<\/p>\n

Gift Inter\u00a0Vivos\u00a0Calculator \u2013 helps advisers work out how much insurance is needed to match the declining IHT liability on a gift, and the total cost of that cover over time.<\/p>\n

Rysaffe\u00a0Planning Calculator \u2013\u00a0helps advisers work out how many\u00a0Whole\u00a0of Life policies to split an application into, each held in separate discretionary trusts, to reduce the chance of periodic IHT charges.<\/p>\n

Whole of Life Calculator \u2013 a refreshed version\u00a0of its popular\u00a0tool, this can be used to\u00a0demonstrate\u00a0the value of a Whole of Life policy to a client.<\/p>\n
