Today, the rehearsals for Eurovision 2026 continue in Vienna. Countries rehearsing on Day 3 include Bulgaria<\/a>, Azerbaijan<\/a>, Romania<\/a>, Luxembourg<\/a>, Czechia<\/a>, Armenia <\/a>and Switzerland. The seventh to rehearse today is Switzerland\u2019s Veronica Fusaro.<\/p>\n

What did we learn about Veronica\u2019s Fusaro staging?<\/p>\n

Veronica Fusaro\u2019s \u201cAlice\u201d is staged as a constant struggle, and that idea is clear from the very beginning. The microphone itself becomes part of the narrative, transformed into a rope, a visual symbol that sets up the tension between control and resistance.<\/p>\n

The performance explores the idea of being trapped. It\u2019s a visual representation of the cycle of control the song addresses, and it remains present throughout every stage of the act.<\/p>\n

Visually, the styling adds contrast. Veronica\u2019s black outfit is elevated with shimmering details and structured elements, giving her a strong presence against the darker themes of the staging.<\/p>\n

Who is Veronica Fusaro?<\/p>\n

Veronica Fusaro is a 28-year-old singer-songwriter born in the Swiss town of Thun. She first gained recognition when she took part in The Voice of Switzerland in 2014. She honed her craft following her appearance on the show, and was given critical and public acclaim in 2019 when she released her debut song \u201cRollercoaster\u201d. She has since played large festivals including Glastonbury and the N\u00eemes Festival. She has released two albums and a number of EPs throughout her career.<\/p>\n

Switzerland\u2019s Eurovision Journey<\/p>\n

Switzerland both hosted and debuted in the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. Their first participation was successful, as they won with Lys Assia\u2019s \u201cRefrain\u201d. Since then, they have participated on 63 occasions, making the Grand Final 52 times.<\/p>\n

Switzerland\u2019s most recent participation saw them being represented on home soil by Zo\u00eb M\u00eb with her song \u201cVoyage\u201d. At the end of voting in the final, it was revealed Switzerland had earned 214 points from the juries, and receiving nothing from televoters. This ultimately placed Switzerland 10th in the final.<\/p>\n
