In the upcoming summer season, 67 scheduled and charter airlines will serve a total of 212 destinations worldwide. The summer timetable comes into effect with the time change on 29 March and\u00a0will\u00a0remain\u00a0valid until 24 October 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n
New long-haul destination and more flights to popular destinations\u00a0<\/p>\n
Edelweiss is adding Windhoek to its route network. From 1 June 2026, Namibia\u2019s capital will be served twice weekly (Mondays and Fridays).\u00a0<\/p>\n
In addition, Edelweiss is adjusting its offering on other international routes. Punta Cana will be served three times a week during the spring and summer holiday period. The connection to Mal\u00e9 will also be expanded during the spring holidays, with up to five weekly flights.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Stronger connections to North America\u00a0<\/p>\n
Starting in May 2026, American Airlines will introduce a seasonal daily service between Dallas and Zurich.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Edelweiss is also expanding its offering in North America: Vancouver will be served daily from 13 June, while Halifax will remain part of the timetable until 18 October 2026, covering the autumn season in Nova Scotia.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Return of Kuwait Airways\u00a0<\/p>\n
After more than four decades, Kuwait Airways plans to return to Zurich with passenger flights in June. The route between Kuwait City and Zurich is scheduled to\u00a0operate\u00a0three times per week.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Norwegian and China Eastern Airlines launch operations in Zurich\u00a0<\/p>\n
With Norwegian, Zurich Airport is gaining a new airline from Scandinavia, further strengthening connectivity to the Northern European market. From late May to late June, Norwegian will\u00a0operate\u00a0flights between Zurich and Oslo twice weekly; from the end of June, the\u00a0frequency\u00a0will\u00a0increase\u00a0to four weekly flights. This complements the existing services on the\u00a0route\u00a0provided by SWISS and SAS Scandinavian Airlines.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Starting in June, China Eastern Airlines will operate flights from Shanghai to Zurich three times a week. The flights will take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.<\/p>\n
New destinations in Europe and\u00a0additional\u00a0frequencies\u00a0<\/p>\n
SWISS is expanding its European network in summer 2026 with the seasonal destinations\u00a0Pozna\u0144\u00a0in Poland (three times weekly) and Rijeka on Croatia\u2019s Adriatic coast (twice weekly), the latter being served exclusively in July and August. The hub carrier will also increase frequencies to popular destinations such as Naples, Ljubljana, Manchester, London Gatwick,\u00a0Nice\u00a0and Sofia.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Edelweiss is also enhancing its short- and medium-haul portfolio: Glasgow will be served twice weekly during the summer, and Kefalonia will be added as a new Greek destination, also with two weekly flights. In addition, the airline is increasing frequencies and extending several seasonal routes, including Faro, Kalamata,\u00a0Corsica\u00a0and the Azores.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Air Baltic\u00a0will\u00a0introduce\u00a0a new service to Vilnius, improving connectivity to the Baltic region. Chair Airlines is adding Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Vlora in Albania to its schedule. Condor is increasing frequencies to Frankfurt, further strengthening the connection to the German hub.\u00a0<\/p>\n
