In Asia-Pacific, inheritors are more likely to associate a family milestone with the passing of a family member. By contrast, in Europe and North America, inheritance is more strongly tied to a shift in responsibility.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">They are the inheriting generation, stepping into responsibility within their families. UBS also observed that successors were getting involved in family wealth at younger ages in Asia, especially in China.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFamilies worry about <a target=\"_self\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/business\/money\/wealth?module=inline&amp;pgtype=article\" title=\"\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">wealth<\/a> not passing through three generations,\u201d said Amy Lo Choi-wan, chairman of UBS Global Wealth Management Asia and CEO of UBS Hong Kong. \u201cThey want to plan much earlier.\u201d<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">These findings come from a UBS survey of next-generation individuals ranging in age from below 21 to above 45, with the majority between 26 and 40.
