Swiss technology giant ABB has teamed up with maritime cybersecurity specialist Cydome to help shipowners improve operational risk management by combining voyage optimisation data with cyber threat monitoring.<\/p>\n
The collaboration will integrate ABB\u2019s weather routing and voyage optimisation services with Cydome\u2019s AI-driven cyber risk management platform, giving shipping companies a broader view of risks affecting vessels and fleet operations.<\/p>\n
Under the arrangement, voyage and routing information from ABB will be fed into Cydome\u2019s system, where it can be analysed alongside onboard sensor and cybersecurity data to identify operational anomalies and emerging threats more accurately.<\/p>\n
The companies said the integration would allow operators to prioritise risks not only by technical severity but also by their potential operational impact on vessel safety, performance and business continuity.<\/p>\n
\u201cShipping companies need insights that reflect the reality of vessel operations, and with the digitalisation of shipping, you can\u2019t separate ship operations from cyber operations anymore,\u201d said Michael Greavette, head of vessel and voyage performance at ABB\u2019s marine and ports division.<\/p>\n
Cydome chief executive Nir Ayalon said the partnership would improve visibility and decision-making across both operational technology and cybersecurity environments.<\/p>\n
