He succeeds Paul O\u2019Connell, who is retiring after a 40-year career in the property and casualty insurance industry. The appointment is effective April 1.<\/p>\n<p>In his new role, Henck will oversee all actuarial functions, including reserving, pricing and capital performance measurement.\u00a0 He will report directly to <a href=\"https:\/\/ffnews.com\/people\/evan-g-greenberg\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Evan G. Greenberg<\/a>, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Chubb Limited and Chubb Group and to Peter Enns, Executive Vice President, Chubb Group and Chief Financial Officer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn behalf of all of us at Chubb and me personally, I want to thank Paul for his many contributions, outstanding judgment and deep professionalism over his distinguished career,\u201d said Greenberg. \u201cPaul has been an important steward of Chubb\u2019s actuarial capabilities, and we wish him all the best in his retirement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to appoint Scott to lead Chubb\u2019s global actuarial functions.
