The development will include a luxury hotel, expansive wellness facilities, destination dining venues, and a highly limited collection of branded private residences.

The project marks the first alpine resort for One&Only in Europe and follows the brand’s recent expansion into mountain hospitality with the opening of One&Only Moonlight Basin in Montana.

Long regarded as the pinnacle of alpine luxury, Courchevel occupies a singular place in the global ski industry. Part of Les 3 Vallées ski domain — the largest interconnected ski area in the world — the resort has become synonymous with endless skiing, Michelin-starred dining, couture shopping, premium chalets, and an international clientele drawn as much to its social prestige as to its slopes. One&Only’s arrival in Courchevel will add one of the most exclusive hotel groups to one of the most glamorous alpine destinations.

The One&Only hotel will be in the place of the former Courcheneige hotel. | Image: One&Only

According to Kerzner, the resort will be designed to balance the intimacy of a private mountain retreat with the glamour and energy that have long defined Courchevel’s global reputation. Positioned at the summit of Jardin Alpin, the property will feature direct ski-in/ski-out access onto the Bellecôte piste while overlooking the surrounding peaks of the French Alps.

The existing Courcheneige Hotel — a longstanding fixture in Courchevel — will undergo a complete redevelopment as part of the project. Kerzner said the transformation will seek to preserve the spirit and heritage of the site while reimagining it through One&Only’s contemporary design language and service philosophy.

In announcing the project, Kerzner International CEO Philippe Zuber described Courchevel as “one of the most iconic mountain destinations in the world” and said the opening represented “a defining milestone” for both the company and the future of luxury hospitality in the Alps.

The resort will feature a collection of guest rooms and suites designed around natural light, privacy, and panoramic mountain views. Architectural plans call for a contemporary interpretation of alpine design, combining warm natural materials with understated luxury and residential-style interiors.

Dining is expected to become a central pillar of the resort experience, reflecting Courchevel’s status as one of the leading gastronomic destinations in the Alps. Plans include multiple restaurants, bars, lounges, and après-ski venues intended to operate as social destinations in their own right.

Kerzner said the culinary programming would cater to an international high-net-worth clientele for whom dining and entertainment are considered as integral to the mountain experience as skiing itself.

A major focus of the development will also be wellness and recovery — an increasingly important segment of the modern luxury travel market. The resort’s spa complex is planned to include indoor and outdoor thermal facilities, treatment suites, recovery spaces, movement studios, and high-performance wellness offerings tailored to both skiers and non-skiers.

The project will also introduce One&Only Private Homes to Courchevel, adding branded ultra-luxury residences to one of Europe’s most supply-constrained alpine property markets. Branded residences have become one of the fastest-growing sectors in luxury real estate globally, particularly in destination resorts where buyers seek hotel-style services combined with private ownership. In Courchevel — where developable land is exceptionally limited and demand among international buyers remains intense — the residences are expected to become some of the most exclusive alpine properties in Europe.

Juan Aguilar said the development represents a “landmark opportunity” to bring the One&Only brand into the French Alps, adding that the company sees Courchevel as one of the world’s most prestigious hospitality and residential markets.

The announcement comes amid continued growth at the very top end of the global ski industry, where luxury brands are investing heavily in high-altitude destinations that can operate across multiple seasons. Resorts increasingly compete not only on skiing quality, but on architecture, wellness, culinary experiences, and exclusivity.

For One&Only, Courchevel represents both a strategic expansion into Europe’s alpine market and a statement about the future direction of mountain hospitality itself.

One&Only will open its first European Alpine resort. | Image: One&Only

One&Only will open its first European Alpine resort. | Image: One&Only Ultra-luxury hospitality brand One&Only is set to…

[16
50,3644,35326,5569
0":"post-64664","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-alps","8":"tag-alps","9":"tag-courchevel","10":"tag-oneonly","11":"tag-ski-industry-news
["GET
